Dan is on one of the most experienced automotive recruiting consultants in the country, founding Automotive Careers in 1989. At that time, there were virtually no recruiting organizations specializing in the retail automotive industry. He has helped hundreds of dealers and automotive professionals around the country come together for their mutual benefit. After graduating from Miami University with a degree in Business Administration, he spent ten years working with dealers and their managers, developing profit opportunities through aftermarket products and services. This experience gave him a unique opportunity to gain understanding and insight with regards to dealership management and personnel. Dan knows his success is based on his “relationship building” approach to every client, job opportunity and candidate. He does this by trying to develop close relationships with everyone he meets in the industry. The better you know the dealer and candidates, the better chance of a long-term placement.
Mike joined Automotive Careers in 2004. Prior to becoming a professional recruiter, he was Vice President of Human Resources for one of the largest dealer groups in the Midwest for nine years. He also spent time as a Service Director and a General Manager for this same dealer group. Mike started his professional career after graduating from John Carroll University with a degree in Psychology and Personnel Management. Mike’s education, human resource experience and auto dealer experience, have uniquely qualified him to assist dealers in building the best possible management team.
Don has worked on numerous assignments for Automotive Dealer Talent since 2004. He has worked as a professional recruiter since 1996 in a wide range of projects on a national basis. Previous to his recruiting career, Don was involved in a wide range of sales, marketing and management positions. He is a graduate of the University of South Dakota and continues to take recruiter training classes when appropriate and available. Don has conducted searches with Automotive Careers for most all positions in retail automotive including Sales Staff, Controllers, Parts Managers, Service Managers, F&I Directors, BDC staff, Body Shop Managers and General Managers in markets from New York to California. Don takes real pride in being a dedicated, knowledgeable and professional recruiter who’s always looking to improve his craft.
Brian graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 2000 with a degree in Business Administration. Since that time he has concentrated his career around the retail automotive industry with time as a BDC Manager in a dealership, sales and training for automotive software suppliers and sales and marketing for an auto dealer trade magazine. Brian is now using that auto dealer vendor understanding to recruit personnel for companies whose customers are auto dealerships.
After spending 10 years on the benefits side of the employment/human resources industry, Sheila joined Auto Dealer Talent on a full time basis in the spring of 2010. Since joining us, Sheila has concentrated on new candidate and new client development. She has also contributed greatly in our efforts to improve our data base management system.
